FROM WOUNDED TO WHOLE Lessons from the Village for Women Learning to Choose Themselves Course Edition Created by Lisa Marie Goodson
The longest journey is often the one that leads us back to ourselves."
Dedication
To every woman who learned to survive before she learned she was worthy of thriving.
To the woman who has spent years carrying everyone else's burdens while quietly setting down her own dreams.
To the woman who believed that being needed was the same as being loved.
To the woman who has apologized for resting, questioned her worth, and measured her value by what she could give.
This village was built for you.
May these pages remind you that you were never created to disappear in order for others to shine.
May you rediscover your voice, your peace, your joy, and your place.
Above all, may you remember that you have always been worthy—not because of what you do for others, but simply because of who you are.
With love,
Lisa Marie Goodson
This workbook was born from my own journey of asking why I found it so difficult to choose myself.
It was sparked by an experience that forced me to look beyond one painful disappointment and into a much deeper truth. I realized that I had become known more for what I gave than for who I was.
That realization changed me.
Instead of becoming bitter, I became curious.
Why did I believe I always had to be available?
Why did saying "no" feel so uncomfortable?
Why did I feel guilty when I rested?
Why did I measure my worth by my usefulness?
Those questions became the beginning of my healing.
This workbook is the path I wish I had when I first began asking them.
It is not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering the woman you have always been beneath the expectations, the people-pleasing, the overgiving, and the exhaustion.
As you move through these pages, I invite you to slow down.
Read gently.
Write honestly.
Rest often.
There is no race here.
There is no perfect way to heal.
Only your way.
I hope that by the time you reach the final page, you will leave with more than completed exercises.
I hope you leave with a renewed relationship with yourself.
Welcome to the village.
We've been waiting for you.
With love and hope,
Lisa Marie Goodson
